Anyway, I realized while going through my list that I’ve made pretty decent progress. I’d expected to come back and have only accomplished like 5 things, but I hit the ground running. So below is an update on my completed and ongoing. At this rate I’ll actually accomplish all 99 by the goal date.
3. Purchase a real jewelry box or armoire- kind of silly laying jewelry on dresser at night - husband actually got me one as a gift last year. No more earrings on the bathrooom counter, lol.
4. Go on the Hawaiian cruise with Bill- Hawaii is one of my favorite US destinations and I’ve always wanted to share it with Bill. We actually combined this cruise with a French Polynesia vacation in Nov 2010. Best vacation ever!!!!! 3 weeks!
6. Buy Rosetta Stone- French and improve my ability to speak fluently. It’s sad that I can read French but not speak it as well I’d love. Doing well, Rosetta Stone is everything the informercials say it is. I feel ALOT more fluent, and actually enjoy the disks.
13. Go to Canton, OH to see Jerry Rice inaugurated into the NFL hall of fame- Oh yes he will get in during his first year of eligibility. YES! I did it!!! Yessssss!!!! Greatest player of all time!!! Yeeesss!!!
16. Sit down with a Charles Schwab like company and get the financial future figured out - I sat down with them and figured that I like the way I'm doing the retirement fund thus far. I may revisit this in another year or so.
21. Train Nemesis to respond to his name. Chaos knows her name but, I’ve been lazy about training Nemesis. This just kind of happened after we kept calling him by his name...good business.
22. Consistently (at least once a week) write in my diary for 3 months straight. I want to remember 30. this was a hard one due to lack of time and laziness, but i hope i keep it up.
23. Submit resume to a minimum of 5 dream jobs per month. Still in progress...gotta stay with this one.
26. Change jobs and/or positions- No more strokes I need a job where I work a bit less than 80+ hours per week. This is still in keeping with number 23. I did take a team lead position and hired help. So I'm down to like 60+ hours. Not bad.
29. Obtain MS Excel Certification- amazing how far this takes you in my profession, I’m at an advanced level now. I just need that last step. Knocked this out last summer. Very happy, it helps with my daily projects quite a bit.
33. Get some sports paraphernalia for my office. Always wanted to decorate a bit. Thanks to the Canton visit, I knocked this out. All kinds of Hall of Fame and Jerry Rice stuff in the office both at home and work.
37. Find 3 new authors that I enjoy. (1/3)
- Christopher Moore- he cracks me up
42. Consistently go to the gym for 6 months. Consistently meaning 3-4 times a week minimum. Did this too! Very proud that I stuck to this one. Started back in like February of 2010 and stuck to it basically through November of 2010. lol, kind of fell off for the holidays, but Sunday I'll be back on it. I even have a trainer.
45. Find another RPG game besides Final Fantasy that I enjoy - Dragon Age- I love it. Very excited about DAII coming out this year, i'm such a nerd.
47. Buy 8 new work suits- 4 pants, 4 skirt/dress - Let's just say, thank you White House/Black Market.
48. Reread ‘The Divine Comedy’ by Dante. It’s one of my favorites, gives me perspective and I haven’t read it in over 2 years. Did it, still love it. Always learn something new when I read it.
61. Decide on the proper electronic litter box situation for these 2 cats. Never…Seen...So…Much...Poo. The proper situation was 2 big ass electronic boxes. Yup.
62. Buy a Camera GPS image tracker for the Italy, Greece trip. These things just make it easier to remember exactly where you were on long trips. This is the one: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=8198552921644492287&N=4294965632&accessory=true
You know I got this and have yet to utilize the map portion of it. Which is dumb because i really like the thing.
66. Try 5 Atlanta area restaurants I’ve never tried (5/5)
- Atlanta Fish Market- Tasty
- Thai Chili Pepper- Pretty Good
- Justin's- So so
- Chef Robs- Delicious
- Season's 52- Surprisingly good.
67. Visit a winery- though technically done, this is one I'll continue to pursue. We went to Chateau Elan, the place was great wine was aaah ok in my opinion. But I still want to visit other wineries others have recommended.
68. Find a reasonably priced red wine I enjoy - MacMurray Ranch, Pinoit Noir
69. Find a reasonably priced white wine I enjoy Barons deRothschild, Semillion and Sauvignon Blanc Blend
71. Watch the first 3 seasons of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ - Hilarity
73. Go to ‘Chops’ with Bill- Still good.
78. Take 3 weekend trips with Bill- to elaborate, I mean trips that are just for us. Not for the purpose of a family event. (1of 3)
- Chateau Elan
79. Buy 3 new sheet/comforter sets for the bedroom (1of3) - self explanatory
85. Try a new hair style/color - last fall i went with highlights, and I even tried a Ciara long weave. Back to regular Ebonii style. lol I'm boring that way.
88. Return to reading at least 2 books a month, 9 months out of the year - always ongoing. Doing pretty good right now. I've done it about 3 months of the year. The summer I always fall behind because of work.
89. Dress in full business professional code for 1 straight week; not working with customers has me kind of lazy - I've done this several times since I've become a team lead. It's exhausting, but it did give me a way to show off my cute shoes all summer.
90. Go in on a March madness pool - Did it, won. Championship.
94. Buy at least 2 cookbooks (1of2) - got one on my iPad baby! Haven't used it once! lol!
98. Find 2 new perfumes to wear - Thanks to a cruise i discovered to variations of Chanel that I love, love, love. I've actually found 4 perfumes since inception.
